Privacy Policy
Effective 12 August 2026. Not legal advice.
This notice describes what conscRAG collects today. It is written with Canadian privacy expectations in mind (including PIPEDA). It is not a lawyer-reviewed opinion.
What we collect. Paper title, abstract, and optional DOI that you paste; the generated graph and findings; your IP address for rate limiting; useful / not useful votes on findings (counts on the share id, without the paper text); and whatever your browser stores locally as a last run. If you continue with Google, Clerk holds your Google name and email; we use it to identify your account. You can also write to veeconsc@gmail.com.
Accounts. Clerk holds Google name and email; we use it to identify your account. Processor: Clerk (may process in the US). Guests can still run without signing in. If you are signed in, a run is saved to your account so you can open it later.
Processors. Hosting and delivery: Vercel. Authentication: Clerk. Account and owned-run storage: Neon (Postgres). Payments, subscriptions, and invoices: Stripe. Language models: DeepSeek and, if needed, OpenAI. Literature metadata: OpenAlex. Guest share-link storage and rate limits: Upstash Redis via Vercel. Errors: Sentry. Page views: Vercel Analytics. These providers may process data in the United States or other countries. We do not send paper text or API keys to Sentry.
Retention. Public guest share links are kept for 30 days, then expire. Signed-in runs stay until you delete them or ask us to. Rate-limit counters expire after about an hour. Last-run data in your browser stays until you clear it or start a new paper. Account identity is kept by Clerk until you ask us to delete it. Stripe keeps invoices and payment records on their side; we keep Stripe customer and subscription ids so we know whether Pro is active.
Your requests. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of a share link, account, or other personal information we hold, email veeconsc@gmail.com.
Paid plans. Free is $0 with a three-runs-per-hour cap. Pro is $10/month. Checkout, invoices, and card data are handled by Stripe. We store Stripe customer and subscription ids and status on your account so we can unlock Pro. We do not collect payment card details ourselves.
